Deputy VC i/c Admin & Finance
The Deputy VC i/c Admin & Finance is the chief Administrative and Finance officer of the University.
It ensures that the university complies with the state labour and employment laws and also provides basic services that take care of worker’s Occupational Safety and Health. Employees are the HR department’s internal customers; therefore serving its staff is another function of the department.
Compliance and customer service are the core responsibilities of the HR including transactional and functional activities, such as establishing compensation structure, addressing employee relations matters, recruiting qualified applicants and maintaining workplace safety.
Financial Role
Maintaining control over finances is vital to the well-being of the institution and the tasks performed might range from the mundane to the highly complex. Members of the financial team are responsible to provide financial leadership and formulating accounting strategies. They also help the university to establish a broad vision of where they are, where they want to be and how they propose to get there in terms of finances.
