BUIB: Former Students Collect Originals of Undergraduate Certificates.

Ex-students of Biaka University Institute of Buea BUIB are gladdened with the availability of their undergraduate certificates after years of waiting. This show of excitement was visible during the handing over ceremony of the certificates to the BUIB Nigerian former students who convene at Rosebud Hotel, Abuja Nigeria, for the collection of this document from the University’s administrative personnel.

At the ceremony, the Vice Chancellor of BUIB Dr. Mrs. Francisca Hongla Biaka via a video call, addressed these students and applauded them for their understanding and maturity exhibited over the years as they waited for this important document. She reassured participants of the University’s Credibility and commitment in serving her students as VIPs while calling on them to remain ambassadors of the institution and be professional in their practice.

In addition, the Special Adviser to the VC/Public Relations Officer Mr Singe Ikome Otto, alongside the Communication and Marketing Manager Mme Fomucha Mirabelle representing BUIB in Nigeria, appreciated these students for their years of patience while reminding them of the process involved in the issuing of original certificates as stipulated by the law governing educational institutions in Cameroon. They reiterated that the delay is no fault of Biaka University Institute of Buea but rather the system put in place by the State mentoring institution which however is under review for better facilitation of the process.

On their part, the students immensely thanked the management of BUIB for this great gesture in displacing her workers from Cameroon to Nigeria for the handing of their certificates. This they noted will go a long way to allow some of them gain work promotion.

The event which took place on the 24th of July 2021 in Abuja Nigeria, saw the presence of over 70 BUIB ex students of the Nigerian Community.
