“A family which prays together stays together.” It is in this light that students, faculty, staff and administrators of Biaka University Institute of Buea (BUIB) were called upon to Pray without ceasing as they gathered this Wednesday November 9th for an Inter- Religious Prayer session which brought together officiating Ministers from the Catholic, Presbyterian and Baptist Churches as well as the Imam of the Islamic community in Buea. Drawing from 1st Thessalonica 5: 16, 17 this year’s Inter- Religious Prayer session was Celebrated under the theme “Glowing in Prayers for a Healthy Communal Life”.
With the objectives to pray for peace in Cameroon, for all students and families and also to pray for the Vision of the Institution, Rev. Tah Christopher in his reflection reminded Christians and Muslims present that prayers is a conversation with God and should be at the center of their activities throughout this academic year.
Praying for peace in Cameroon, Rev Fr. Peter Paul thanked God for the numerous blessings bestowed upon BUIB throughout and called on God to grant peace in our nation Cameroon and Peace upon BUIB and all her stakeholders.
Rev. Pastor Njobara Nelson in addition, appreciated God for another opportunity of coming together as a family as he prayed for God’s protection upon the students and for the fulfillment of their dreams according to His will.
Calling on God’s wisdom upon the VC and all workers of BUIB, Imam Abubakar prayed for the realization of the vision of the institution.
The 2022 inter-religious day experienced an overflow in blessings on faculty, staff and students of BUIB. It is a yearly event organized at the beginning of each academic year in a bid to honor and praise God for all His doings in the life of BUIB which believes that unless God builds the house, laborers labor in vain.
