BUIB: Staff Congratulated at the 2022-2023 Congregation!

As the race begins for the 2022-2023 school year, academic and administrative staff of Biaka University Institute of Buea Convened this 2nd day of November 2022 in classroom Block 3 for the yearly congregation of the institution. The Congregation  aimed at exposing the vision and expectations of this academic year while appraising the output of the just ended school year.

Speaking on behalf of the Vice Chancellor Dr. Mrs. Francisca Hongla Biaka, the DVC in charge of Academic Affairs, Research and Cooperation Prof. Fonkeng George enumerated key achievements by the Institution which include but are not limited to the ranking of BUIB as best Institution at the 2022 HND examination, the improvement in infrastructure to host the rising number of students and the birth of two new schools – the school of Engineering and Technology and the School of Agricultural Sciences.

He further commended the efforts of all staff both part time and full time for bringing the University to such level of excellence and further reminded them of the mission of BUIB which seeks to empower individuals to achieve maximum capacity through the provision of quality education at all levels.  This he noted remains the goal of the University this academic year 2022-2023.

In the area of Academic Affairs, Research and Cooperation, Prof Fonkeng George reiterated the need for quality teaching that recognizes diversity while providing a holistic approach in passing on knowledge.

On the part of the DVC in charge of Administration and Finance Mr. Finjap John while addressing employees, applauded them for the endless sacrifices made for the university to stay at the apex of fineness. He however cautioned all not to relent their efforts but to continue striving for the best. He used this forum to welcome on board newly recruited staff of the Institution to the one big family which strives for nothing short of quality.

The congregation was also an opportunity for other departments within the institution to keep all abreast with their activities for the smooth functioning of the new academic year. Responding to the call to remain best workers and provide standard training, employees on their part expressed gratitude to management for the overall developments within the institution which cannot be minimized.
