 University of Buea Visits BUIB’s School of Education.

A three person delegation led by the Deputy Vice Chancellor in charge of teaching, Professionalization and Development of ICTs at the university of Buea visited BUIB’s School of Education.

The visit took place on Saturday 12th March 2022 beginning at 10PM. Accompanied by Professor Endeley Margaret Nalova (Dean of the Faculty of Education) and Professor Lucy Ndip nee Ayamba (Deputy Vice-Chancellor in charge of Research, Cooperation and Relations with the Business World)

The visit was aimed at evaluating BUIB’s programs in the School of Education as well as infrastructures in place to adequately run the programs.

After a welcome address by BUIB’s Deputy Vice Chancellor in charge of Academics, Research and innovation professor Epah Fonkeng George, Dr Akom Delbert in the School of Education presented the programs to the team from the University of Buea.

The more than 30 programs were spread in three departments ranging from HND, B.Ed, Top- Up BSc. and Masters.

According to Dr Akom Delbert, the programs have been tailored to carter for contemporary needs in the society and BUIB has brought in a number of innovations to better address challenges in the field.

The team from UB appreciated Biaka University Institute of Buea for its innovation and added that, mentorship is partnership and both institutions are to learn from each other.

After the presentation of the programs, the delegation was taken for a guided tour of the campus where they visited modern classrooms, IT center, advance library, spacious learning environment and the new construction site.

The Head of the UB delegation Prof. Noel Alembong was visibly satisfied with the infrastructure and said he has no doubt in his mind that Biaka University institute of Buea will not falter in this venture.

The School of Education is one of the four schools accredited by the Ministry of Higher Education to be run by Biaka University.

Other Schools include; School of Health Sciences, School of Management Sciences and the newly approved School of Agriculture which will begin this 2022/2023 academic year.

Staff of St Veronica medical complex receives Christmas present

Most Christians see Christmas as a period of forgiveness, sharing and reconciliation:  One that brings families, friends and other groups together for merry making. The management of St Veronica Medical Complex was not left out of this ritual as it reached out to her workers with gifts In kind including bags of rice, litters of groundnut oil and sachets of tomatoes as a sign of togetherness and appreciation to these workers.

BUIB celebrates the Birth of Christ.

In commemoration of Christmas 2021, the BUIB family on the 17th of December 2021 lighted her campus with different colors of bright and attractive Christmas lights as the university choir thrilled the atmosphere with Christmas carols and different dance styles – a tradition of the instituto9n to celebrate with her workers during the said season.

This exhibition of joy was blended with a visit to new born babies of the St Veronica Medical Centre (Biaka Hosital) by the management of the complex alongside “Father Christmas” who handed gifts in kind to the se mothers and their babies while wishing them a merry Christmas and happy new year 2022.

St Veronica Medical Center Welcomes Consul General, HE Lewal Bappah of the Nigerian Consolate.

His Excellency Lawal Bappah, Consul General of the Nigerian Consolate for the Northwest and South West Regions of Cameroon, pens his signature in the visitor’s Diary of St Veronica Medical Center Buea, during an official visit to the complex aimed at strengthening the working relationship between the two bodies. This August visit it should be noted is His very first outing to a private institution since HE Lewal came to Buea Cameroon as the new Consul General of the Nigerian Consolate.

It was a significant event for both St Veronica Medical Center and the Nigerian Consolate as these two have been working closely for more than 15 years in the areas of providing health care services to staff of the Consolate as well as providing knowledge to the Nigerian student community who made Biaka University Institute of Buea, their institution for learning.
Receiving the diplomatic figure alongside his entorage, the Chair of St Veronica Medical Center Dr. Mrs Francisca Hongla Biaka expressed appreciation to the guest of honor HE Lewal Bappah for identifying and applauding the complex as that which provides commendable services to the Consulate. She further reiterated the social bond that exists between the two bodies including but not limited to friendly matches that puts the relationship in a family mood.


In response, the Consul general, HE Lewal Bappah saluted the chair and her henchmen for operating such a prestigious complex and promised to further strengthen the bond that exists between the Complex and the Nigerian Consolate.
The visit witnessed a campus tour during which the diplomatic team had an opportunity to see different sections of the hospital and the university and equally met with some of the students including the Nigerian students of BUIB.

This 26th day of October 2021 according to the management team of St Veronica Medical Center , goes down memory lane as one that promised better collaboration between the Nigerian Consolate ant St Veronica Medical Center.
